Dear Dancing Community

We are excited to share the exciting Calendar of Events with you, which is jam packed with Competitions, Workshops, Development Congresses, WDC and WDC AL World Series events.

We are very pleased to announce we have remained consistent with the dates of the Super Series Championships, which are now in its SEVENTH year of existence. The Super Series draws top talent from ALL Regions in South Africa and are qualifiers for the much sought after South African Colours. Please remember you need to be a member of the SADF, compete in at least 2 Super Series Championships and the South African Championships to be eligible for South African Colours. The SA Colours are awarded to the top dancers (Solo / Couple) competing in the Championship sections only.

We are super proud to announce that Rumba in the Jungle is taking place on 19-21 October 2018 at the iconic Sun City. After engagement with ALL our stakeholders including the World Dance Council, we decided to reschedule from our initial planned date to October 2018 due to circumstances beyond our control. We trust this will afford the dance community the opportunity to participate in this spectacular competition, which is Open to the World. ALL Associations; ALL Dancers and ALL genres are welcome to participate in the true spirit of Freedom to Dance.

Our South African Open Dance Championships, WDC AL sanctioned, is on 1-2 December 2018 in the beautiful Mother City. Kindly note that South African Champion titles will be awarded in ALL our dance style e.g. Ballroom, Latin American, Solo, Disco/Freestyle, Social/Pro-Am and the like . We have remained consistent with the date of the SA Championship which is the week before the WDC AL Open to World Championships in Paris.

We have already renewed our WDC Annual Membership ahead of the WDC cutoff of 31 January 2018 and are happy to report that we remain the Official Member of the World Dance Council and World Dance Council Amateur League in South Africa. Members with WDC Competitor and Adjudicator licenses are encouraged to renew their annual licenses now to remain in good standing as the WDC is strict with deadline dates.

To benefit from ALL of the above exciting opportunities, please ensure you are registered with the SADF. There are be wonderful opportunities that we will offer to SADF registered Amateurs, Professionals and Studios and encourage you to join our progressive Foundation which offers a plethora of opportunities to the dance community. The 2018 SADF Tariffs and Registration forms are attached and also accessible via the website, www.sadancefoundation.co.za and the Social registration forms are available directly from the Social Faculty.

We look forward to engaging with you at our exciting events. Your continued support is much valued.
