Dear Dancing Community
We are pleased to share the exciting Calendar of Events, that is jam-packed with Competitions, Workshops, Development Congresses, Professional Development, WDC and WDC AL World Series events.
We are very pleased to announce we have remained consistent with the dates of the Super Series Championships, which are now in its EIGHTH year of existence. The Super Series draws top talent from ALL the Regions in South Africa and are qualifiers for the much sought after South African Colours.
Our South African Open Dance Championships (SAODC), is on 29 November - 1 December 2019 in Kwazulu-Natal, one of the most scenic provinces in South Africa with rich history and beautiful weather. South African Champion titles will be awarded in ALL dance style e.g. Ballroom, Latin American, Solo, Disco/Freestyle, Social/Pro-Am and the like. We have remained consistent with the date of the SA Championship which is the week before the WDC AL Open to World Championships. Couples competing in the Professional Ballroom section at SAODC are kindly requested to contact Head Office on sadancefoundation@gmail.com to clarify the arrangements for 2019. We extend warm appreciation for your amazing support at the 2018 SAODC at the iconic CTICC and prepared a DVD clip with highlights for your viewing at https://www.youtube.com/
We encourage you to renew your annual SADF membership and/or join our progressive Association that provides an Open, Unified dance platform to ALL dancers bringing you a plethora of opportunities and World Class events. Members wanting to renew/obtain a WDC Competitor and Adjudicator licenses are encouraged to renew their annual licenses this week to remain in good standing as the WDC is strict with deadline dates. The 2019 SADF Tariffs and Registration forms are attached and also accessible via the website,www.sadancefoundation.
The RITJ International Dance Congress 2018 DVD will be ready shortly and includes insightful dance insights shared by World Champions and Finalists featuring Bryan Watson, Alex Ivanets, Lisa Bellinger, Damiano Ciranna, Keith Armbruster and our very own Kim Lee Isaacs (details will follow separately). We have included a bonus feature of the showcases performed by Stefano Di Filippo and the beautiful Dasha Chesnokova.
There is increased focus on Professional Development with Ballroom, Latin, Social/Pro-Am exams scheduled on the Calendar. The Regions will be hosting Professional Theory classes and SADF Professional Exams (details will follow separately).
