The prestigious NW SuperStars Super Series (NWSS) Dancesport Championships™ is staged annually by the South African Dance Foundation. This Super Series marks the closure of the Super Series Birthday celebration. We are celebrating 10 years of excellence of providing a fully inclusive dance platform.

The Championship is recognised by the World Dance Council. NWSS is Open to the ALL Dance Associations, allowing all dancers, regardless of Affiliation, to participate on the basis of their freedom of association and freedom of expression.

The Dancesport Championships™ is the Super Series selection event for couples to accrue  points in lieu of South African (SA) Colours. The SA Colours are awarded annualy at the OFFICIAL South African Open Dance Championships™ . 

The Championship attracts competitors and spectators from all over South Africa including our neighbouring states – Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe.

TO ALL DANCERS,PARENTS AND CLUB HEADS RE:- Our humble apologies for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your attendance and support in making our event a success.The amount of entries received obliged us to run sections simultaneously on two dance floors to accommodate the overwhelming amount of entries received. However, the SADF, North West Regional branch apologizes for the unfortunate incident that occurred during the last three sections of the NW SUPER STARS CHAMPIONSHIPS, hosted on the 6th of August 2016 at the North West University. This regrettable incident happened despite all prior risk assessments and contingency measures been put in place by the Regional Organizing Committee and North West University. This was as a result of the other event been hosted at the same Mafikeng Campus which was about to reach a point of being out of control. To this effect, and on advice of the university security the North West local Organizing Committee had no choice but to priorities your safety, hence the decision to fast forward the program without compromising the end results. Having taken due regard to the inconvenience caused, the SADF North West organizing committee will be posting all the results on the SADF website (www.sadancefoundation.co.za) and courier trophies of the winning couples to the respective winners. In addition, the Chairpersons of the representative provinces have also been task to ensure that they assist in ensuring that all winners receive their trophies. Once again we are truly humbled by your cooperation and amazing sportsmanship of working with us as we quickened the pace of the last three sections to wrap up an otherwise awesome day, ensuring the safety of all our competitors,their families and supporters.
